Oh, I was talking about the background of the window.
Like when you have the view of a window in 'icon' mode. You can change the background into an image.I figured it out, so it's cool.
thnx though

How do you?

I think you can use the background picture feature if you are creating a disk image (for Mac only) to use in an installer or presentation, but otherwise you would need to use the multiple icons approach (but isnt that mac-only as well?)

you want to first create a Disk Image
(Applications --> Utilities --> Disk Utility)
create your disk image then open it up and scale the windows to the size you want it.
Next make sure you view is set to "As Icons"
third:
go to view, "Show view Options"MAKE SURE YOU SELECT "THIS WINDOW ONLY" At the top
down at the bottom there is a radial button under "Background" set that to picture, select your picture.
Add your files
Arrange the icons as you want them to be then once your all set BURN the image to CD using "Disk Util" and you should be off to the races
