MK12 Vector Effect?

Hi
I'm absolutely facinated as to how MK12 do their vector type and art draw-in effects. Their work is loaded with the effect where type and lines draw in perfectly as if flowing along a path. If you've ever seen any of their work I'm sure you'll all know exactly the effect i'm talking about. If not please check their ULTRALOVE NINJA piece. The trees draw in to start with and then the logo flows in perfectly along each letterform.
I've tried the 'stroke' and 'write in' filters along with some masking and vector paint effects in After Effects which just don't get anywhere near the perfect flowing effect of the vectors in the MK12 work. All I seem to be able to achieve is a pretty nasty masking effect with paint.
If anybody could share this technique with me I'd really appreciate it as it's the only effect I don't understand how to achieve using aither Maya or After Effects.
Many thanks,
Colin

man it looks like the stroke filter along a path as an alpha to reveal the type... just repeat it for the different layers the fill, the outline and the drop shadow.... i could be completely wrong though... who knows... maybe its a complicated algarithm developped deep in the jungle in western tonga.....
