I'm contemplating teaching a class on introductory web design with Dreamweaver...does anyone know of a good resource(s) or book for such a curriculum?
One of the things I'm really struggling with is whether to try presenting table layout or CSS layout. Anyone know of any books that teach CSS for people with no HTML knowledge?
Thanks in advance.

depends on how long the course is really, they will walk away with more knowing css, but without the original table elemental though processes, they will be a little lost me thinks, blah blah, 22 hour work day
I am off to bed, good luck with the contemplation

It would only be a semester long (about 4 months).
I agree with you - chances are, if these students do end up working in web, their employers would still use tables...

once they figure out the tables, css is easy than vice versa, better to get them the basics and jusat touch on css
