looks like fi.
at a second look they could have done more. the only thing it does better than html is the fade ins and the sound effects.
It seems to be trying to be a html site with transistions. still nice tho

nice...that's a helluva lot of work right there....

very well done. a bit bland in some ways, including the super fuzzy asthetic to it, but very well implemented.
I still feel this is at least a great step in the right direction as far as functionality in flash based sites in concerned.

don't forget it's news site.
it looks pretty good for a news site.
don't always expect a designers design site, we all know buttons don't really need bevels.

FI is doing it. David Martin from FI answered my email. It's a 2 year project and there are a lot of features that are not still implemented. Once again, one hell of a site I say.
Nods to FI.

I know saying this might be unpopular.... but for a moment, forget the design.... forget the look.
The innovation here (IMHO and I'm a developer, not a designer) is the architecture and speed with which they are able to load data dynamically. I haven't seen that sort of speed before with Flash. The MM site is horribly slow in spots in my mind, and this thing isn't.
In my mind, this truly sets the ground for building enterprise level sites/apps in Flash, with a component back end.
