hey all--
Does anyone have a suggestion on a Mc-based way to increase the amplitude/volume of an audio file ?
we have one that's t too subtly recorded to come through in a flash movie. Just looking to increase the volume before bringing into Flash.
Tried using iTunes to increase the amplitude, but it didn;t seem to work.
Thanks a lot

im guessing you meant mac based...
so http:/www.felttip.com should sort you out, they have a trial version of sound studio you can mess with.

'Wavehammer'. You can use tools such as Sound Forge, formerly from Sonic Foundry but now from Sony. What it does is it bring up all your levels without causing them to clip (run past bad number of decibels). It brings up all part of the wave frequency, not just small parts like increasing the volume alone.

BTW, you also have to be careful what original audio you are dealing with. Meaning, how have you exported that audio in the first place or what form is that audio in that you want to bring up.
