yeah, so i have no experience with this app (yet) but i want to cut the size of this full movie i have to fit it on a cd. i figure if i take off the credits i'll have the room. at any rate, is this a simple task? i have the avi loaded in premiere right now.. is there a simple step to chop off the remainder of the movie from where i stopped it? thanks kiddos.

drag the imported clip into the timeline, then look around the timeline for the razorblade looking icon, click it on wherever you want to cut the clip and then select the unwanted part and hit 'delete'

ummm, apparently there's a few other things i didn't understand.
how do i create a project the matches the dimensions of my movie? it's distorting the original movie. also, after i create the project and open the movie, where do i drag the video to on the timeline? i see a video 2/ video 1a and video 1b... also i don't hear sound... fack!

export your movie at the same dimensions you want. drag video to video1a, your soundtrack should appear on audio1

still no audio dob. it shows an audio clip on the timeline (audio 1) but no sound. :(

mitsu, I really gotta sleep, do you mean; you hear no sound in premiere or you hear no sound when the movie is exported?

in premiere. haven't exported yet.

there is a preview window, maybe you have to open it, then you should be able to scrub the timeline with audio... look for it, hit me up tomorrow if you still need help. Im not the best teacher either, Im no Mr Miyagi. :D seeya tomorrow if you need me.

i create a custom project, import a file into the bin and then drag it onto the timeline. i'm on peecee

then drag that timeline back and forth. you should hear audio.
