  How long can a company employ you as a contractor in NYC befor they legally have to hire you? I've been working at the same agency for 5.5 months with the same pay at the same office 40 hours a week.

  1 yr. then they should legally have to give you a 2-3 month break, but they don't ever HAVE to hire you.
