.cdr?

  just got some downloads off this russian site....thought they were eps files....when i unzip them, I get .cdr

  disk mount cant open them.

  Ideas?

  They´re CorelDraw files - you rename them to .ai and they should work fine.

  or you could just go back to the russian site and download the illustrator files. they have both there.
