as i read on, yes, mars volta kicked my a$$ when i first heard it, i listened to it for about a week straight.
and rx bandits - the resignation is also good. more to pop into my head im sure.

cinder, bpib was good, i dont think one of the greatest personally. thats just me. I think deloused is sweeping it and rightfully so.
it's just hard to say "best album" without narrowing it down to a genre. list fave albums with genres and it would be easier. I know i cant pick a fave.

lot's to list but jealous sound got a lot of play for me.

Interpol's album is not new. Postal Service has a shot, DCFC's latest isn't up there for 'best' album, it's really good, but not insane. Outkast has a good thing going, fuck i don't know, there weren't any that just kicked my ass this year.

Outkast's joint this year has my vote for both the range and the quality.
Although I can't stop bumping Juice's album 'tip of the iceberg'
I've also heard JZ's final is pretty damned bangin. Never been a huge fan, but he's definitely talented

four tet - rounds
prefuse 73 - one word extinguisher / extinguished: outtakes

shins - chutes too narrow
ted leo & the pharmacists - hearts of oak
grandaddy - sumday
south - with the tides(roots, interpol, common were all 2002 releases in u.s. - they would be on my list too)
- BonSeff0
that chingo bling album is stong!
platinum and diamonds stupid

Mars Volta is good - but their album died off my playlist pretty quick. Their stuff is just too . . . whack-off. they sound like their on some acid trip the whole time - playing catatonically.
I listed to BPIB over and over and over for months and months
the only thing that comes close to that replayability is Interpol
Postal Service is also great
- sauerbraten0
haven't heard Andrew WK's "The Wolf" but am willing to bet it's the year's best.
- smartK0
calexico - feast of wire
- dstlb0
M83 - DeadCities, RedSeas & LostGhosts
Radiohead - Hail To The Thief
South - With The Tides
