Brushes to Outlines...
Is it me or is this possible?

You might want to "expand appearance" in order for them to become outlined.
I think... might help.

Good question. The brushes are strokes. So you can't. But I don't know for sure. You can open the brushes in PS then streamline or silhouette then back into ill to get them as shapes with fill.
Unless freshmode's idea worked.

You can get the stroke, so if there are nuances to the stroke or colors etc you can grab it. If you want textures I would make it large and streamline/trace it.
