Okay I'm ready to purchase my first G4 Titanium Powerbook 15! Now I need your help on where is the best place to purchase it for the cheapest price! New or Used it doesn't matter as long as it runs and no big damages or problems.
Thanks

so where is the best place to purchase it for the cheapest price!

i'd check ebay. that's where i got mine. it was super cheap... then again, i kept an eye on g4 auctions for about a month before i finally found this one - it's practically brand new. it ended early in the morning when fewer snipers are out, so i came out with a very good deal.

buy a refurbished one. I bought my tibook through either Mac Warehouse or MacMall..can't remember...do a search for refurbished. Apple sells them too.

monkey, what were the specs/price?

Dave Rosario is my guy at MacMall. He's helped me purchase about 5 laptops in the past 6 months. All for discounts off list price, plus a bunch of freebies. his email is:
ask him about refurbished units that are available (some are not mentioned on the web site)
i have the Rev A 17" and love it. I just got the 14" ibook for my brother, upgrading from a 15" 667 tibook. a decent option for a dramatically lower price. i've also purchased a 12" recently for another friend... i think the 12 and the 17 are the way to go (depending on your needs).
anyway, contact my guy at macmall, tell him that ryan referred you. seriously, he's helped some other NTers already (search pv-an archives)

sweet! I'll give him an email! Thanks xrusos

You're better off buying one through the educational plan. If you're not still enrolled, find someone who is.
- Momentum0
mimio where can I buy that?
- Mimio0
Most universities have the program for students.
- xrusos0
no problem.
and the educational program is not worth it if you still have to pay taxes on it. do the numbers... every time i've tried it, the tax free way is less expensive and you get more free stuff.

I'll have to agree with my brother xrusos. Go through a tax free way. But, I'd just get the best deal for freebies, Dave gets some free stuff, but it's not always impressive. So if MacWarehouse is offering more free RAM or a better printer, go that way.

LOL I work at MacMall!! Actually PC Mall but we all live under the same roof. I've never heard of Dave though, but I do know that some of the salesman get some hook-ups through their Vendors...I know we have some sort of 512MB Ram deal right now.

I just ordered a powerbook week or 2 ago :D they couldnt give me an ETA though... i think its that stupid white spot problem delaying production and delivery till december :/
