cheeky bastards! ;)
aliens or marketing ploy..hhmm. I've worked off osx with this drive and my iPod and occasionally it seems to work but now I can't get anything to copy. Come on now...there's got to be a solution! (sobs)

go to disk utility and try repairing permissions on all the affected drives- ie yours, ipod, external. i assume you are using mac os x?
- ian0
I love when stuff atops working and when you bring it in to get repaired you get the good news that it will cost about 3/4's of the price of a new item just to get it repaired.
Pisses me right off.

thanks, globeriding...I just tried that and Disk Utility won't give me the option of verifying permissions. Those buttons are grayed out. ?!

'clean-up' in aisle 4

should let you do the external and the ipod fine, but yeah, sorry, you may need to use another startup disk to do your own HD. use the os X install cd and start up holding the c key down, then use disk utility on that, also try starting up (without the cd) holding apple s, and run fsck which can help things.
however having said that i just went and looked in my disk utility app and if you click on the name of your drive it should let you verify and repair permissions.
- globeriding0
sorry man, im hungover, got me wires crossed. repair permissions on your startup disk, do a verify and repair disk (*not permissions*) on the other 2.
also try running fsck as said before.

Hey globeriding, you changed your site!
Aw man, you should've kept the cool scroll bar, that was sweet!
I've updated my site, have a look.

Had the exact same problem with OSX n' an external harddrive. Tried to repair it, called the support. No good suggestion though. I had to format the harddrive. Now im back in biz.

yeah it was cool, but a little impractical. somehow the script messed up even though i didnt edit it much at all so couldnt be viewed on IE 6. i dunno, the new way isnt as nifty but its a bit cleaner right?
what do you think in general?
you just changed the colours a bit and shifted a few things round right? it looks nice.
