so... the bosses computer went in about 13 days ago... and supposedly is ready to go...
... he backed up his drives (duh)... but Apple just called us... and informed us that any retrievable information (part of the reason we sent the machine was to retrieve whatever possible off the drives) was completely DELETED... not lost.
anyone ever had this happen? cuz I guarantee my flake of a boss forgot to back up a number of things...
... any lawsuits... or compensation ever been filed or recieved by anyone you know?... or are we s.o.l.?

Depends on whether you asked them to retrieve data, or just repair it. Does Apple even offer data retrieval services?
