- JazX0

- schjetne0

- eloosive0
Thats pretty blatant. Whew, tough break. Go threaten him or something!
- satan0

- kerus0
that's pretty damn bad
what a jerk.....makes me kind of glad that im not a very good designer. hehe
- IRNlun60
wow. that IS a bad rip.
really nice site though. yours I mean.
- mitsu0
you should run checksums in your swf's to make sure they are run on your server.
- satan0
thanks IRNlun6.
checksums? what's that?
- mitsu0
create an algorithm on the server and in the fla file that both create a unique string/number based on the date or something and do a comparison at run time.
- satan0
that jerk is dutch like me?! does the dipshit have an address on there as well? I'll head on over with my baseball bat.
- satan0
right mitsu. won't stop people stealing my work though.
- woodyBatts0
that sux, but...
your work rox! and this is coming from someone who really can't get into 3-d, you've inspired me! Fuck that dude!
- JazX0
hehehehe you Dutch guys are generally tall and mean bastards! ;)
- mitsu0
"right mitsu. won't stop people stealing my work though."
no, that's exactly what it would do. if the theif doesn't have their server-side logic in place then your swf will not run outside of your website... it wouldn't even run on your desktop.
- satan0
hold on, that's right. do you happen to have a code example of something like that? never done much with server-side stuff.
- kerus0
thats checksum stuff is sneaky.
i like it!
- mitsu0
no. and i've never heard of anyone else doing it either, but i'm sure someone has.
i started a tutorial on this a few months back, but haven't touched it in a while it will cover even more secure methods later this month. i'll shoot you an email when it's done if you want.
although, with enough searching, you might be able to find other sources sooner.
