hi ya'll
i've got to import this logo into illy so that i can use it.

now i know i gotta import it to photoshop first then make paths and then import to illy, but if you downlaod the logo you'll figure out why i need help.....please anyone?

I'd place the GIF straight into Illustrator and trace it. There's no need to use Photoshop at all.

Is it the imasf logo in the top left?
Place the gif into illy, don't open it in photoshop and draw the paths direct in Illy.

how do you trace a gif?

if you need that logo for professional use - ask them for the vector version.
redraw that logo is a waste of time.

Go File-Place in Ilustrator and select the gif. It will then appear on your page.
To trace a gif: select pen tool, make a point, connect to a second point.
Repeat.

Seriously, go with stewards idea. Failing that, grab yer pen and start clicking.

that is a 2 minute tracing job, calling and finding somebody at the corp who understands what vector is and sendign you the logo is a burn of an hour or two....
just trace it
