I'm working on an MTV Networks International logo. It sucks beause it has to contain 5 other logos... or work with them on a biz card. And it has to work with maybe less logos. The 5 logos are MTV, VH1, Nick, SpikeTV, and Comedy Central. This is a major pain in the ass.
Anyway, MTV did some internal designs (which BTW were really awesome) and they hated them because they didn't think anything felt new...???
I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what's newer than MTV's internal shit. I guess that stuff was like late 90's pop art / anime looking vector art. So to me that means I've got to do either something sketchy looking (which seems to be a new trend) or intergrating collage and script type art... elegant, wallpaper patterns... shit I'm at a loss. Can anyone send me a link to some really really fresh shit. I'm working on a freakin Saturday, for Christ sakes! sucks

What about really retro I mean like 50-60's look?
black and white and monochrome colors.

you know what else may be cool. Early motion pictures think charlie chaplan type look.
I could an MTV host dressed up like charlie for a tv spot promo like the old silent movies.

Also w/ Dimensions build into Illustrator CS, I foresee (and dread) a new trend of faux 3D logos. Working on a sunday? Its not like they´re launching their new logo on monday, are they?

Just draw everything out all with a fine point sharper pen.
The design, the logos everything.
