im not sure where you getting your memory from or if you already have it - but i find crucial to be about the cheapest out there. just a tip for purchasing :)

I always put in my ram stuff from left til right. This might be a good question, I built myself a new pc too last month. I just assumed the ddr thing was there by defect as long as you bought ddr ram.

Check the manual for your motherboard, it should tell you there as all motherboards may handle that differently. I have an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe and it will do dual channel as long as the dimms are in 1-3,2-3 slots and not in 1-2. try that, Again check your manual as your motherboard may be different.

Thanks all, found out it was slot 2 and 3.
My specs are:
+2500 Barton
Abit NF7-S nfroce 2
1gb ddr 3200 ram (2x512)
120gb seagate hd 8mb cache
radeon 9600 pro
antec case
