I'm trying to convert an (interactive) sequence in flash to quicktime so it can be used for DVD / other linear formats.
I don't have the FLA file.
I'm having a world of pain.
Can anyone help?

File > Export Movie > *Select Quicktime (.mov) from dropdown give it a name and Save. give it a few compression settings and bob's your crossdressing uncle.

if you are on a mac and you have a dv camera....
-plug the video output of the mac into the camera
-set the camera screen external so it will show your mac desktop on the lcd sceen.
(use a 4:3 screen setting so it doesnt stretch the output)-start recording
-make your interactive piece playing and play with it...
-dont forget to plug the audio output from mac to camera in as well if you want to the audio in the file...
-now you can import it in your favourite format..
we used this few time when we have to publish an interactive piece on dvd...
is the only way I know to export the interactivity in a moviesound difficult but is really simple..
good luck...

lol, zaven. i hope that was a joke :D
the solution is simple:
open the swf in director (yes, trust me), and from there, export it to quicktime. no dildo required. it just works.

you need to chop it all up and restart for maximum control
