i think it's overrated though. i think appreticeship is as valuable as a formal training. it's ashame it's been lost with our rush to have credentials...not that i have a mentor...but i think it'd be a much cooler way to learn than school...i have an MA in something i'm never going to use.

just falls into 2 categories..
formal training and informal training

I could take everything I learnt from VC in art school and put it on three pages of foldscap with a ball point pen.
Real world, I couldnt even begin to explain what I have learnt since.
