Right o people, I wanna spend some of my hard earned cash. What design books are people reading and would recommend?
Last two I got were: Restart New systems in Graphic Design and David Carson The End of Print 1.

blimey, that must have been a long time ago?

hmm you just read The End of Print 1.. a little late no? that book was published in '95! Mybe 'Typography Now' would suit you heheh ;P
I spose if you like old books then I'd recommend "The New Typography" by Jan Tschichold
.. thats still pretty relevant even thought it was pub in 1928 or something.

Just finished college and I wanted to get some of the books I loved in college, now that I have some cash.
Thinkin about getting Buro Destruct II. Anyone got it/ enjoy it?

well we got here, it is great book to buy but, it pisses me off this lately eyecandy only books.
I prefer spending my doughs to more education related books. So get yur arse to you work for them and buy the : Josef Muller-Brockmann's some books, grid systems in graphic design vice versa and also I find emil ruder's typography kick ass.
just FYI.

I'll have a gander at it now. Cheers. The Buro Destruct one looked good, but I haven't seen it in any shops so I wanted some opinions before I gave amazon my credit card.

Carson's work was just amazing. The End of Print 1 (Second ed) is the one I've got, talks about the impact E.o.P (1st ed) had . Pretty cool stuff.
Had to get it cos I can't get my hands on any copies of Ray Gun. Ireland is a wilderness when it comes to design.
In Amsterdam during the summer. The range of books was fantastic, the range in dublin, crap.

Cheers jazX, that book site is cool. I will spend many an hour spending cash...

I enjoy Carsons work it is visually impactful, and at college everyone loved Carson or Tomato cause it was so off the wall, the problem with Carson is he challenged the way we read and have read for Centuries, saying he could influence the MTV generation look where it got him!!
The second sight book is good for all his zen wisdomisms on intution but that is about it.

Sorry that's intuition
