kerning input text

i can't find anything online about kerning input-/dynamic text in flash mx.
does that really mean it isn't possible at all?!

I was actually thinking about this myself this afternoon... might be good for the font shops to seel more condensed kerned versions of their typefaces... eg. one that sets the typeface atthe equiv. of Flashs -1.

...might be good for Macromedia to sell a new version of their programm called "Flash 2004 +/-" with a inputtext kerning function.

has anyone ever told you that you may have a kerning problem?
It's ok. there are 12-step programs available out there. the first step is to accept you have a problem.

i did have a try at creating dynamic kerning.. this little device just puts the text in to seperate movie clips and then gives the correct spacing for each.. problem comes when multi lines are needed.. grrr...
should be possible, I don't have the time right now to implement
