this is me quoting myelf, very very 1st response

" ll wish you the best , but luck is for lepracuhans, skills and know how is what gets you the jobs, so rely on what you know and who you know instead of luck. "

and then he got his vagina full of sand over the pop up comment.
If it didnt bother you so much you'd just let it , and take the comment on how you have to rely on what got you to where you were, instead of luck.

not my fault it gets to you, and you offeer me kneepads, after you where the one name dropping. So where do these knee pads come off, you? after your done?

have a cookie yourself, and if the something bothers you like, say... i dont know, comments about your site's 3 pop ups, IGNORE THE SHIT. it helps really, if we had to reply to every thread and every post we woudlnt have jobs or lifes.

i love it when i state the obvious.
    bonghits all around.

  • freshmode0

    You reply makes no sense.

I named dropped, you mentioned you knew them... who nneds the pads, looks like you have them. Pass them on to others around here who's jaws drop when these folks post.

I didn't ask for your comments on my site or a reply to luck. So if you need me to ignore the comments and metion it is lame for me to get bothered, then you should do the same and not even mention the obvious. It doesn't bother me, it is just pointless when the question was for furniture sites, not comments on my site.

Move on chief. Get over yourself. To offer direction when your's is sub par is useless. Should I mention to you that you have done sites with pop-ups as well? Is it needed or worth it? Does it matter know?

Chump. Get laid and get over it. Learn to keep it to 1 page yourself.

Yo Fresh, best wishes man... as far as furnitures, just drive up the 5N, look to the left, there a bunch of discount furniture stores open to the public.

Where in LB is your studio?

  • freshmode0

    Story,

Near the belmont shore area. I think we spoke once about some collab. But maybe not..

    You local?

Thanks snob for the luck. Though some think it isn't needed. I appreciate it... word.

  • steak&liquor0

    This is hilarious.

He states that he has a new location. Really - congrats and good for you. Mom and Pops are stoked. But when we comment that the site needs an update he gets super defensive and cusses like silly as well as telling someone to get laid.

Lets just hope the clients dont come on here. Looks like a really classy establishment.

I just also wonder what happens when a client doesnt agree with his design choices or askes for a new rev on the work presented. Probably is something like this : "Well we tried our hardest to make it look good and shit. Right now this is just temporary - when we do the next version of your site it will really like totally look better asshole. Lighten up dick and get fucking laid or something. "

  • Cyberjunkie0

not tham i am a fan of the site (sorry fresh) but i really gets on my case when people simply knock shit down when they dont even have a URL on their profile...

heard of buiding instead of shitting on????

constructive comments backed by honest skill please!

  • Cyberjunkie0

and gongrats on the nu office!!!!damn that is a nice feeling... we just moved 3 months ago and its finally starting to look the part!

  • cookie0

maybe it's the fact that everyone's been an arsehole bout it steak. How about everyone takes their own advice and stops giving a fuck and just wish him luck or some shit...>?

    so - GOOD LUCK FRESH!

    :D

  • steak&liquor0

    URL smURL...

Do you know anything about The Strokes past?

Additionally, I dont know about you but when someone tells me my work needs something a little extra to it I take the advice. Its called open mind in an open forum. Whether its someone with credibility shown or not. Either way its just advice. If you dont hear something negative or dont get that poke youll just assume your stuff is just great... but wonder why no one is knocking on your door. Take and give advice. Its the only way youll get somewhere. Otherwise you will stay in your own closed door world.

And fyi i didnt say his site sucked. Just said for the site to be on the original page you came in on.

    Big hugs.

  • JamesEngage0

Don't let him annoy you freshmode... he's just trying to wind you up... just give him the pop-up code and he may leave you alone :)

  • freshmode0

    Thanks for the comments fellas.

Steak&Chump... get over yourself chief. No one is bothered by your comment. Why are you bothered by mine? When asked for a crit, people accept what others have to say. When asking for funriture links and you chime in with a crit on our site, we laugh. Because we do have clients knocking at the door, and do not rely on the site at this point to sell our services. The esablishment can do that for us. The fact that our clients love what we do for them is another. And their is something to be said about client meetings. That's where you really charm them!

In many cases, our work doesn't go past 3 rounds. Third being the final. And when have you seen a "designers" website look anything like what they do for their clients? Most exploit their own with "minimalism" and try to pass it off as "good design" when really they are frustrated because clients don't like that minimal shit and crit them about what they try to bring to the table as apposed to developing solutions that produce results. You heard that lecture in school right? Pretty pictures aren't worth shit with out results chief. If you have to go round after round after round with your clients, you either don't understand what they want, or don't care. Either way, they should find someone else who does. Success comes from making the client happy. Bottom line. But you know that right? I mean you did the strokes website. That has to stand for something.

No on is mad and no one is taking what you have to say serious. Are you affraid of your clients coming to the boars here at newstoday and noticing that you are a complete jackass? Is that why nothing is linked to your name?

Stop all the bitching about what I have to say. Again, you don't need to tell me what I already know about our own website. We did it. And we did it this way for a reason. And I mentioned that it is getting rebuilt. So chill Steak&Eggs.

BTW, the strokes website has pop-ups, sucks and they suck. Is that going to make you run and change it or change their weak ass style? Nope. So take it with a grain of salt when I say fuck off. No one gives a shit. Your comment has been made. It will not change the fact that we are in a new studio, looking for furniture and are focusing on client work, while taking care of our stuff at night. If you would like, I can give you a tour of our new studio so you can see that we are busy. You can even stick around and see the work that we are currently doing. Will that help? I'm sure you have too much going on to bless us with your divine presense.

    =)

  • Mimio0

Do you have pictures of your new space?

  • brandelec0

Hey guys, I just moved into my new studio with a 6 car garage! Anyone know any good cars to buy? We have low budget around 60-80k.

    Preferably imports. Cheers.

  • blueless0

poor site. but nice furniture in San Diego.
    http://www.lawrance.com

very good quality compared to Ikea though the prices are greater as well.

Trappings is a warehouse in Carlsbad (worth the drive) offers all of the Pottery Barn stuff at 50% of the price -- no site --

    Trappings - 2736 Loker Ave W, Carlsbad, CA 92008
    (760)602-0400

By appointment only. Really good prices but the furniture style is not quite as modern.

    They have some great tables.

  • unknown0

I´ll dress naked and carry you around city for I can live in your garage and get 80k. Might not be pretty or fast but the beer belly ought to disappear after the first 100 miles.

  • freshmode0

San Diego is worth the drive if we can find some nice stuff. We are looking for a conference table. So we might take the trip this coming weekend.

I think we have found our couch at good ol' ikea. We don't want anything bulky. Unless of course we can find a better one. They have a decent, simple one for $250.00. A nicer, sleek one would be cool. Though I wouldn't want to spend over $500 on a couch that will be used by us in the studio and not really for the clients. A nice chair for the conference room/waiting area would be good. We are looking to get a chair for around $600.00 or less.

I am going to take some flicks when we get the new furniture in. Right now we only have our desks and a few tables with everything set up. By the end of the weekend, we will have the bookshelves, storage and kitchen area finished so then I will upload some flicks.

Thanks for the info for San Diego. We have friends & family down there so we will make the trip.
