Any one else having problems connecting. I could connect fine before.

Yep, doesn't work for me at all and fireworks is FULL of bugs too.
£500 for software I can't fucking use. Thanks Macromedia.

its funny that you guys are talking about this. I have never used any of the ftp tools in dw or any other program. I never even thought about it. Im not making fun, but its just strange that I have never even tried it.

I haven't had any problems connecting to standard and secure servers.

actually i'm very happy with the new DW FTP, cos it doesn't disconnect automatically after a few minutes and hold up everything like it used to.

it's a pain the ass.
you can't set file permissions.
I use leech still. It just works!

I can't connect at all with the same settings I've always used. I always thought the site window and FTP in DW was convenient. I guess Ill start using something else. The DW boards on Macromedia didn't seem to have a solution.

yah this happened to me too.. if you are on OS X with your firewall on.. open an ftp port, or turn the firewall off.. fixed ti for me..

When I got the upgrade to studio MX It was the worst week in a long time for the office. Flash did not see the SWF or FLA files. Opened them in IE. Also DW MX 2004 could not connect to 1 out of 10 of our servers.
I just uninstalled and sent the box back with a letter telling them to send it back when it was fixed. Great tools but way to buggy.
Thats just my experence in my office.

it seems like the new studio mx 2004 suite suck like hell ...
a friend of mine bought Flash MX 2004 Pro and he's having problems after problems after problems ....
This is not the best shot from Macromedia ...

Guys I read somewhere, maybe even here, that Macromedia is solving these issues and will provide Service Pack for the whole StudioMX2004 in November.
