find flash movies with soundtracks distract them from the music they are allready listening too?

Uhmmmmm I guess

YES! I hate when sites have music for no reason. if it is an entertainment site or record label or band or something, then that makes sense. That is part of the product. If it is a design portfolio, wtf do i need music for?

I also hate ambient background music.
what up 2A?

annoying when there's no turn off sound option

It's just different ways of communications, my son. You would get a whole different perspective on a site playing rock music than a quiet site, whether it's good or bad. And in 99.9% of the cases, it's bad to have ANY music on a website.
And I wish I could slap everyone silly who makes automatically playing BG sound, it should be my frikkin option to turn it on in the first place. (daily vent)

I like 2, 3 even 4 soundtracks at once. It's very John Cage.

yeah let the user choose if they want music or not
everybody should know by now that we listen to music while browsing, you fuckers
- kodap0
haha paul,
john cage has also a mute piece where he performs in front of a piano continuous fake aproaches to start playing, but he doesn't ...

clients bugging me for a bg music for a simple brochure site that has NOTHING to do with music so ... hate me later. Cant talk him out of it. Sound off option WILL be prominant though.

Yep, pointless audio... And full screen flash, total pet hates.

i like sounds on rollover. i like to run my mouse over them repeatedly if they're nice sounds. i'm a bit simple like that.
