Help needed....We have a job that requires fixing (size) pop-up windows on a Mac. Flash based main file with Flash pop-ups. Need to try and find away of doing this without re-coding each pop-up (we are working with someone elses code).
Any ideas? Or resource sites?
Anything....would be lovely...Thanks

"without re-coding each pop-up"
that would seem to be a problem right there.

What don't you want to do exactly? I'm having some trouble understanding the question.

yeah - there are 38 of them! but we don't want to have to re-do them all from scratch.

Are you looking for something that dynamically resizes the popup window based on the size of the Flash movie contained in it?
- benversion0
nope - nothing that complex! These windows are all a fixed size (and remain so on PC). However, the client also wants them fixed so they can't be 'dragged out' on a mac as well. I can post an example URL - but it's very boring really.

i have a flash movie that opens other flash swf as pop up windows. (not my idea lol). but anyway they working fine but on the mac the pop up windows can still be resized and the client isnt happy with this. this is the script i used for the pop ups: on (release) { getURL("javascript:NewWindow=win... NewWindow.focus(); void;"); }

on what browser/OS is it resizable?
It shouldn't be
but I've noticed that Safari in OS X might not obey those rules.

on os9.2 IE5
and OSX

I thought it was as easy as putting resizable=no in the javascript but it's not, doesn't seem to be working for me in either Safari or IE.
Why not embed the Flash movies in html pages? That way at least if someone does resize the window the size of the Flash movie is fixed. Would seem to be the easiest way to 'fix' it.

That still allows resizing in Safari, seems to be ok in IE though.
By the way, great work on the Stylodesign site. Very nice stuff.

Thanks dstlb - sorted problem on those pop-ups now thank god.
New Stylo Design website coming soon which we think looks a lot stronger.
Glad you like the current one - will post on NT when we launch.
Cheers
