Anyone else witnessing this disater in San Diego? I can barely breathe outside. The sun is red and there is ash everyewhere. The sky is a thick cloud of smoke. And Im not even near the fires. I wish I had my digital camera with me at my home in Ocean Beach, this beach town looks surreal.

It's Bananas, I say, Bananas!! All freeways closed, all schools closed, and they say the three fires are eventually going to combine into one. And, yes, the air is full of ash and hard to inhale.

II got back from Valencia yesterday, visiting a friend at Cal Arts, we left a party cause the fire there was getting close to the house. I had no idea things were worse in San Diego. I heard one of the San Diego fires was started by some brainless idiot hunter who got launched and shot a flare gun!

Yep some f*ck hunter started it and is in custody I heard on the news. You shouldn't be out in the woods if you don't have enough brains not to shoot off a flare gun in dry brush.

i meant to say "lost" not "launched" ...

Just looks like pure evil, all that fire.
Not to make light of anything, but Rancho Cucamonga is about the strangest city name I've ever heard.

Maybe the owner of the house used Arial instead of Helvetica.

it feels like you're IN a campfire. the air is getting better (slightly breathable) down here by the beach though. a lot of folks from my work had to evacuate and a few lost their homes. very sad for them. in any case, i shot a few photos on sunday when i woke up because the light was so interesting. if you want to take a look: (these are totally un-altered...just what the camera took!)
