MY question Im about to install Panther and Im wondering if I still need suitcase since Panther comes with FontBook.
I like Suitcase because it loads fonts for me when I open an illustrator file.

Panther FontBook doesn't have auto-activation.
. . . yet.

I personally hate suitcase in OS X it takes forever to load if you have a shitload of fonts and takes even longer to close the app.

ya, i hate suitcase with a passion... just the fact that there's 6 copies of it in my startup items scares the hell outta me... i miss atm for os9...

i agree 100% with BrianMalcom! atm was much better ... but i love that auto-activation-thing! very nice feature!

It only takes a shit load to load if you have all 500 of your font activated. I got x1.1 suitcases on thursday for the g5 and its great, I wont bother with Panther, another updated system I dont need to be messing round with yet.
