thats not what I meant scotto. he's 9 years old, he likes just about any video game you give him for about a month and then he doesnt play it anymore.

The game is really good... very well designed
The story is proving to be very interesting, fits well with the first game, even though its much different...
Kind of feels like Star Wars....

its a desperate attempt by naught dogg to have another game as big as crash bandicoot. other activion developers are doing better than them right now and they have big budgets and lots of overhead. theyre competing with luxoflux with true crime coming out next month and treyarch who did the spiderman the movie game and the tony hawk series to try and keep the spotlight (and they'll fail). quite frankly theyre not the powerhouse they once were. im glad they improved the gameplay. they mut have hired some better game designers.. but quite frankly their target market is too young for the level of difficulty. this will be the begining of the end for jack and daxer.
my guess is it will be a moderate seller because it was a moderate game. its hard to pick up the peices from the first game. they didnt sell nearly as much as they hoped to. (and theres good reasons why)
btw im glad they finally gave jak a fucking voice. that was lame. buti hate the character design. everything else looks good tho.

i went to E3 without him this year tho. im all about it now. i love that industry. if i ever end up going back to school.. i want to study more programming so i can be a game programmer. yeaaaaah!

rachet and clank is a quick little platformer they spit out with old engines.. i wouldnt call that good by any means.

i gave the demo to my neices 2 E3s ago. never touched it since. *yawn* it was boring.

Platformers are for the people who can appreciate them, I think they are fun and well rounded games especially Jak and Jak II
What games do you appreciate?

if jak 11 is your idea of an amazing platformer you need to play more games.
i really liked oni musha 2 (sp) but mostly i like cheese ball japanese puzzle games (hat i actuallylike to play myself) like super bustamove (the japanese version)...and i enjoy a little britney's dance beat.
but i dont play games that sell well usually. but if you ask me which games i like because they look good.. at E3 veutiful joe (sp) coming out on capcom is pretty different. nice style you should check it out.. and resident evil won best of show. that shit looks spetacular and the gameplay is dope. namco? i think did a crouching tiger hidden dragon game i saw.. it wont be big but it looked really beautiful like oni.
surprisingly i think shrek 2 the game is a very well done platformer. that will be out next summer. its looking pretty hott.
my money is on true crime streets of LA for the title of best game of all time. already the best presold game of all time (for activison).. but its not a platformer.
also.. i like cookies n creme.. a really weird 2 player platformer.. interesting gameplay but its kind of hard and frustrating. nice concept tho.
jac11 is a formula. theres nothing interesting about it. as a matter of fact i wasnt very suprised at all. they basically did some more focus testing and fixed everything people thought was shitty with the first game.. but i dont think that makes it a good game now. blah blah blah rambling.
