And when Donny LaLonde lost to Sugar Ray Leonard back when I was in high school, I was devastated.
Our Great White Hope was annihilated in 9 rounds. And I mean annihilated. It was the worst beating I can remember.

That dude's been through so much grief in his life (aside from his boxing career) that there ain't no one harder than him.
The saddest part is the boxing show that he puts on for CTV Sportsnet (I think?). Reminds me of Anthony Quinn's character in Requiem for a Heavyweight.
