what kinda free/easy to get and simple to understand music programs do you non 'musicians' use to create simple electronic compositions/loops/melodies/anyt... for your webpages/animations/video games/etc..
im just trying to find some programs along the lines of fruity loops (or even more simple).

there are a lot of different things that go into your request. Some software apps will sequence your music only, some do it and add effects, some do it and add effects and allow you to do other specific things. I use Reason 2.5 heavily and it allows you not only to create sounds using either a MIDI keyboard or mouse, but also sequence them.

I would sit down and take a look at Computer Music UK at http://www.computermusic.co.uk not only is it a great resource for this type stuff, they also know what the hell they are saying. More so than anyone else I have found in 4 years worth of subscriptions. Gonna be reviewed by them for my little CD-ROM. ;)
