photoshop crash's

Hey.. quick question about pc's and photshop. ok i have a sony vio laptop running all the usual design apps and motion apps.. now every few months ill open photoshop and eather it will say my primary scratch is set to my drive which it is installed on.. its not i have two HD's and its set on the other. then after that message PS will just close and i cant open it anymore... the other times PS will open but when i go to use the color picker it wont open and my X to close PS will dim out and so will all the other menu items.. now ive tried uninstalling PS then re installing it.. it still does this.. TO fix the prob i have to reformt my HD which sucks... im using PS 7.. does anyone know anything about this or any info would be awsome.... thanks

have you checked there are no updates needed for the pc version 7?

ohhh good call i have to check were would i check adobes site?

I have a vaio too and I get the same problems. Mine experience with the crashing is very random. Seems PS likes to play Russian Roulette with my RAM
