Early days. Tested on IE and Netscape.
It's a simple site with only one photo being used. I'll load more photos and improve the portfolio section a lot over the coming months.
Aimed at 30something small business owners.

I checked the site, and I can verify it is there.
heh, just kidding. looks good. nice simple elegant design.
The transitions between sections are a bit chuncky in terms of the framerate dropping. You should be able to make this smooth.

at first glance, the track and untrack of the fonts kinda bothers me. i like the style though.

i couldnt get the flash site to load (osX / safari)...
html site looks nice but i think the type could use some refining...is your portfolio in the html page anywhere?

im on mac 10.2 safari. I can defintly see the site, Seems abit slow though maby pump your frame rate. looks clean.

pretty clean man, is that done with actionscript or just tweening goto and stops.. ?
- tomkat0
i say it's tweening .. should run smooother if scripted..
like the idea - very nice. not too much into the type.

Thanks for all the feedback. ALL comments helpful!!!
It is all actionscript - the only tween used is to increase the logo alpha during _root load.
It is also supposed to be slow. It's very interesting that my target audience (small business owners) really dig the ocean waves and the slowmo animation, while other designers are agreed it's a little too slow.
i'll up the pace (each animation takes 20 frames at 30fps) so maybe I'll make the site 40fps.
Mistral: Yes!! I know it's dated and dull - but I don't want to scare my target audience - let's face it - most of them can't see beyond Arial and Comic Sans Serif :)

flash site doesn't work in safari.
html site... beautifully shot photos but the rock throwing seems a little cheesy ... then again I'm not your 30 something audience.
I think the "design" font is the same as Sandals (homophobic godawful package holiday resort) which is what put me off.
And it's only my opinion, (feel free to ignore as I know I'm sounding harsh) but for me justified type doesn't really work outside a newspaper column context.
Lovely colour palette and the semi white transparencies work very well.

site seems ok if a little slow and doesn't sit centred when your window becomes quite small, the typography is awful sorry, bad choices of font and your body copy is too large with too little leading and you have widows here and there.
You basically have a site that revolves around one reasonable photograph.
the html site just looks like a storyboard visual for the flash site although somehow you managed to make the typography even worse.
Seriously though your typography is awful, no attention to detail.

Animations are too jerky, scaling an image whilst moving other stuff is never going to work that well.
The navigation font (Mistral?) is horrible and the layout of the body text is pretty nasty.
Potentially it could be good but it needs some more work at the moment.
It loaded up ok in Safari for me though.
