getting Panther

What do you think would be the fastest way to buy Panther? Order it from Apple (which I'm guessing will take longer for shipping) or go to the Apple store at 8pm the night it comes out?

Unless it takes you 5 to 7 business days to drive to the Apple store then it will probably be faster than ordering from Apple and waiting for it to hit your mailbox.

Depends. If you are an education user, then order it through the web, because the apple store retail centers cannot sell at the education price. You'll get it delivered for free Friday. Even if you are not an education buyer, you get it delivered for free friday. The web site says PM delivery, but the guy on at 1800-MY-APPLE said that it would be delivered during the regular FedEx route. So, you can get it delivered and head to the release event at the store.

If you're close enough to a store to justify it, you should go to the release party. There's a certain beauty in being with your own kind at such a precious time. ;-)

well then all i can say is expose rocks, font book rocks, the labels being back makes a huge difference, and that whole cube rotating login animation is kinda neat, otherwise is just an OS, et the fuck over yourself, i'd take some snapshots to smear the fact that you're a noobtard that likes to give apple money every year for a new OS, but i gotta go.
