Am I the only one who finds Rather Good boring and repetitive? I couldn't believe when I saw Creative Review put him in the 15 big talents around at the moment.

It wins no prizes for animation, but it did make me chuckle. It's just one of those things you watch it laugh/cringe or whatever and then forget about it, can't say I ve watched a rathergood clip more than once. Didn't know that creative review rated him though, that is strange. novelty not talent

Yeah they put him in with a fourteen other up and coming designers/advertisers/promo makers.
He just seems to have one good idea, bit of a one trick pony. I might be wrong, he may start producing something other than varients on the singing kittens.

It's a lot easier to get a quick cheap laugh... but then on the other hands it easy to diss stuff too quickly...

I don't think I am dissing too quickly, I have looked at Rather Good for ages and have just seen a recycled idea. I don't really mind this (The kittens make me laugh), but the arse kissing he got in Creative Review seemed way too much. The guy who commissioned him to do the animations for that Born Sloppy shite called him a genius.

Yeah true Engage, but it depends on how you look at rathergood, as a quick fairly crude animation with the intent of quite experimental humour then it is good, but as far as getting the best out of the creative mind/application then I don't see that with rathergood.

CR sometimes seem to try too hard to pick up on something new so they can say "we got there first"
Rathergood is a bit of novelty fun in a tell a shit joke enough times and it becomes funny type way but genius it is not. Rather, I'd say it was peurile.

I thought the Switch/Maestro advert was pretty good. But then, I guess Vitch didn't write it, only produce it.
It'll be nice to see what his next thing will be.
