Recently I have been turning in a lot of jobs to kinkos. I have been doing some nice color stuff for a few clients who have hard deadlines that do not allow for offset.

Because I am doing large spreads and full color stuff, I sometimes have to break up my files into individual pages for kinkos. Or else I crash their computers with my 600 MB 8 page files.

I am working in illustrator and importing to InDesign so that I can export full doc PDFs.

So here is my question. When I start doing some of the larger book stuff that will end up going to kinkos, is their anyway to create a batch script that can export each page 1 by 1. Right now I have to export and change the page # of the one I want to export. That will be a drag if I was to be working on a 40 page piece with large spreads and heavy graphics. It would be nice to find a script that can export each page, numbered and with the correct specs. Maybe their is something within InDesign that I don't know about that can do this. If so, please advise. Right now it takes me a good while to do it because I start doing other stuff at the same time.

MAC or PC scripts/techniques welcome. I run both when needed.

    Thanks all..

I'm not sure if I really understand your question, but it sounds like you really need an app like Creo Preps (which is fucking expensive ...)

cant you print a .ps file and distill it like you would in quark?
