Check out for information for a call for entries for T-shirt designs addressing consumerism. There is an entry fee but everyone whoe enters gets a free T-shirt from on of the 4 winning designs.

what does the winner win besides having their work done up on a t-shirt? Threadless seem like a better deal.
sorry... doesn't seem worth it to me unless i have some extra dough to spare. You'll definitely get a breakeven for that kind of investment though.

hahaha thats a classic, a 'contest' about consumerism where your charged$15 to enter and the prize is a WHOLE TSHIRT!!
Sure you dont want to make it a contest about capitalism or exploitation or just stupid money making ideas.
get real.

Also... is that sponsored by Kinko's thing a joke?
Or is it about complimenting consumerism?

sounds like a f*cking PTA meeting to me.

Seriously, Your Art Here is a not-for-profit arts organization that has put art on billboards for the past year. We cover our cost with the entry fees and put in our own money to make up the difference. Since everyone who enters gets a free T the reward for winnig is that your image is circulated more and across geographical boundaries.

mmm ok. how come you can sell your t-shirts for $12 but the contest costs $15 then?
ahh it doesn't matter - good luck I guess ;)

Thanks. Good point. Maybe we should lower the entry fee. $15 has been our standard for a while now. For this, as long as production and marketing costs are covered...
