Ed "Big Daddy" Roth died a while back, but there's some guy (whose name i can't think of right now) who's still alive that's totally ripping that style all the time. He's right up there with Coop and Shag and those guys. Lowbrow art. Check on Juxtapoz's site, i'm sure you'll find him there.

yeah its slasher by santa cruz , otherwise known as keith meek
that was my mates first board....i was always so jealous.....bright yellow gullwings, birght green slimeballs and that deck in bright red stain with flourescent green griptape.....bleuargh hehe

looks like an old santa cruz slasher character, but i think it was a green surfing monster not a yellow skating...

Actually I know exactly what this is, but not the name. This IS the Slasher but but I think that particular version of it was used to sell little patches of foamy grip that you could slap on your nose or by your rails. Called.. *something Grip.. or something.
My elementary school had these extra art classes you could take, and to get into them you had to make a drawing. One of the kids that made it into the class did a very obvious trace of this design.

So is it Rip Grip or is it a T&C design? Town and Country had Surf had a whole set of these types of monsters.

i remeber it being rip grip.the board had a little grip on it. Im sure it was used alot though. I mean it is ratfink monster.
