avoid Roppongi (unless you enjoy drinking with the US Military)
visit Nikko, North of Tokyo.
I drive there every time I get some time, stunning mountain roads, fabulous waterfalls and generally all that natural good stuff. (very important after being stuck in the grey metropolis of tokyo for way too long)
This might help you before you get here:

Oh, there's also the Tokyo Motor Show if you are into cars... or on the 9th Nov at Tokyo Dome is "Pride" which is great to watch.
(ring fighting with next to no rules, like a street fight...)
If you are still here on 21st Nov you can catch the start of Resfest.

thanks chip!
no I wont be there for resfest...
I think i will go to sapporo at the soso cafe nov.1st.Pride? that seems weird!!
i plan to go to kyoto also.other places? i think i will stay 3 weeks.
are you japanese?
- Chip0
nah... I'm English but been here a while now.
Kyoto is great, you'll enjoy it there.
Other places....ummmm you could get down to Izu on the coast, thats always fun, or Chiba.
You could also do Nagasaki or Hiroshima if you get time, depends if you are into seeing them. I've never been. Hakone is easy and beautiful.
Make sure you buy a Japan Rail Pass in your own country. That will save you loads of cash in transport and you can use it on the Shinkansen to Kyoto.
You are in Canada yeah?
