I thumbed through a copy of GQ recently for the first time in a long time and was reminded of what I consider the absolute pinnacle of advertising:
Selling a fragrance without including a sample of it.
You get someone into a store to purchase a scent based simply on the photography and message in the magazine ad, and you've really done something spectacular.

- , Gucci, Tom Ford etc will block book a year of ads with just a couple of publications. Vogue, GQ, Wallpaper etc have very unique demographics and the ads do...Morning_star
