ok, so i've had this phone for almost a year now and while i luv it, i'm very tired of the rings and backgrounds/screensavers and i'm too lazy to crack that huge instruction manual open to find an answer to my question sooo.....
is it possible to connect to the internet w/out calling at&t up and subscribing to their internet services, kind of like a one-time thing? any one know?

Is their service GPRS?
not sure if you have to use your providers GPRS data service... but there is always GSM calls to an ISP?
Or what are the protocols/standards in the US?

sony ericson have a configurator on their site, the will send you network configuration to your phone for free
