getting fed up with people saying 'Have you searched the PV-AN and PBS'...
... The search feature isn't up to it... end of story.

regardless they should do it, it's pointless to clogg the DB here with the same threads over and over. I see NT as a resource not a dumping ground, no offense :)

with that being said your right, sometimes things become outdated and I think that's one thing that should be taking into consideration for upgrades to the NT DB. Like you cannot find anything past the inital frame that comes up.

it also seems pointless to come to NT when you can damn well find most subject material on Google. Not design related stuff either that is case specific, I mean some people will come and ask things like, "Where can I find Adobe products?"

it doesn't really matter if you're fed up with it. people will still tell you that. why not just get over it? or you could always just lie and start out... "after searching throughout the PV-AN i cannot find...". why so grumpy on a friday?

Surely it's more hassle to write it, than NOT be asmart arse, and ignore it : )
What I'm trying to say is Newstoday 2.0 should have a better search no it...
i.e. when you type say 'flash scroll' it only searchs for that term.. not dicusssions that contain them in any order... plus it only searches the poster, and not the whole discussion...
Not moaning, just pointing it out, I like everything else on here... mostly :)

I did a search but couldn't find it...
...joking... I'll get my coat (going home time... nothing better than a client ringing up just before you go home, you dread the worst... and they say "everyone loves it"... hoorah!)
