"For more than 70 years, Bennington College has graduated each of its students with a résumé as well as a diploma. Every academic year, students participate in a seven-week off-campus winter term, called Field Work Term (FWT). During each of their winter terms at the College, students take their academic interests to the world beyond Bennington, where they pursue jobs and internships in areas that complement their studies—in fields ranging from publishing to politics, from arts administration to teaching, from medical research to social work. By the end of their four years at Bennington, students have acquired a body of work experience, a significant set of references, a network of professional contacts, and, most important, the confidence that they can make their way in the world."

    HI.

as most of you probably don't know i'm a student at this 'bennington college' and i am working on find a job for my upcoming field work term. i'm working on putting up a respectable portfolio site before i actually start contacting potential employers next week. in the mean time i wanted to get reccomendations/possbilities/exc... remarks/etc out of the design crowd here.

the term is from januray 2nd to february 22nd. i'm looking to work (preferably paid, but wouldn't mind an unpaid internship (which seems much more likely)) in new york city or san francisco in a graphic or web design studio. all my work experience is freelance and i want to have a better experience of the sutdio environment.

so, let me know what you think

    thanks.

What you think you want to do today you will be different from what you want to do tomorrow.

Keep all your options open, especially from a creative point of view, learn as much as you can first, experience will come as a result from that...

    Give these guys are try...
