i have used the html code below to show url icon, but it doesn't show it on IE. But it does on any netscape, mozilla, etc browers. Can anyone give a solution?
IE on a Mac doesn't support favicons. So there is no fix for that.
meeklo - looks like you have same prob as me, in safari at least yours comes up with just a blank area where the favicon should be :(
what about on windows IE?
ain't working on my end.. btw im using the latest safari release
doesn't work on PC IE either!
u sure youre making an .ico file? i think it has to be 16x16 32bit.. could be wrong though
it works once you've indexed a site as a Favorite, therefore the name Favicon.ico. Add your site to your own personal list and then your browser will remember it even with IE Windows. ;)
using ie6 on that telitas site... i don't get any favicon. not even if i save it as a favourite...?
ie (pc) just isn't very consistent (you could say buggie) when it comes to favicons
