bastard customs.
got stung for £70 for my ipod.
that means it cost me £396 quid in total from buy a 30gb from ebay.
and the new 40Gb one has just been released over here..
for £400

its not shipping costs - those were only £20 - it's the taxman being a fuck - it's luck of the draw who gets stung.....
but yeah - pretty fucking stupid. I feel cheated. never buying anything from teh us again....

it was marked 'gift', but he also put the actual value down and what it was 'ipod' so customs must have cottoned on...fuckers..I'm livid..it had a sticker on saying any gifts over £35 were charged 17.5% of original price...

Jevad, I got one of those customs charges once but the postie didn't say anything and handed it over and I never paid, did you pay yet? Can they charge on second hand goods?

it's brand new see...because it was insured...dude had to write full value of it...so customs must have seen that...what if it was froma relative for my b-day though - i really want to fight this...
I didn't have the £70 on me so the fuckers are bringing it back tomorrow..
didn't even get to take it out the box....: (
