if you want to print the whole image, go to file - page setup
click on the landscape page icon and tell it to print out a 30% or whatever.

Or you can use the "tile printable areas" feature and double click the "page tiling" icon in the tool bar.
Print from their. You will get it cut up into sections that you later have to cut and piece together.
Or you can just do the 30% thing if you don't want it to print to size.
good luck and hope that helps!

steadyvibe,
while i do respect people using this board for quetions on a whole variety of topics related to design and even beyond..
I noticed you started 3 threads today more or less dealing with the same subject, and even boldly started your last in caps.
Your first question and thread dealt with a template which appeared to turn out about 20 inch in length, then you started a new thread asking if it is possible to to buy 20inch paper to this very last thread of yours inquiring information on how to print this size.
I fear a new thread in a couple of minutes asking how to stick the pieces together to a 20inch piece, or what cutter you might use.
My advice is:
Stick to one thread, thank you.

hehehe - well at least the guy's busy (I just talk about doing things).
Either way, you're right

there is no way to print it all on one long peice of paper?

Go to a print shop - the cheapest places around here will only set you back $10-12

i could but im having fun making this!!!
- freshmode0
You probably could print it in 1 piece if you had a sheet that long. That is if you wanted to keep it to it's correct size. You would still have to scale it down a bit considering bounding areas.
You can adjust within the page setup area.
Any screenshots of what this is? It sounds like you are having tons of fun.

If you had a RIP than you could difine whatever page size you like.
At least I think you need a RIP.
I could be wrong, but that's what I've always had.

oh.. i dont htink im using that. my printer is just a simple canon i450!
- Gorbie0
you said you're printing from illustrator?
Does your printer even handle .eps files?
Try this:
Go to File -> Page Set Up
is there a Page Attributes drop down box on the top-left?
if so - there should be a Custom Page Size option that you can set up.
- steadyvibe0
this is awful! i tryed that. it just pritns out part of the document still!
- steadyvibe0
its got to be possible? is there any way i could print it from another app?
- BonSeff0
read your printer manual. see if it accepts paper larger than 8.5 x 11. if so, in illustrator make sure your paper size is set up to your paper size. if you still cant figure it out, print it out in sections and paste that mutherfucker together

REALITY: your lil gehtto ink jet is not going to print on paper 20" long...no fuckin way.
listen to the sugeestions people have given you as its your only option using your ink jet...if you don't wanna do that then send it out to kinkos or something
end of topic.
