Monitor headaches

does anyone else get a headache from staring at computer all day? I've been getting these horrible headaches lately and I cant figure out what its from.

if your screen flickers you will get headaches. mine in work flickers and im forever trying to get my boss to fix it. tried everything but he doesnt seem to care. maybe i should sue him :)

but no, mine doesn't flicker.

no headaches but i experience fatigue and eye strain. headaches are probably coincedental (asuming your refresh is above 75 minimum. 85+ is better)
try taking a sec to refocus every so often. sit back from monitor, make sure you are not looking too far up or down at it.
get rest, liquids, laid. good luck.

eye fatigue. eyes are all bloadshot at the end of the day. visine helps a lot. also blinking every now and then helps :)

I set up a little shareware alarm that goes off every 20 mins, and I focus on something distant for a few minutes....sounds silly but it reduced my headaches and eyestrain considerably.

do you get the same problems with lcd monitors. or is it less severe

my 20" cinema here at home no problems so far. but then again i do not sit in front of this monitor 9 hours a day.. its the crt at work

after a few years my eyesight got so bad I had to get glasses.
that mentioned 20 min thing is what I got recommended when I want for an eye-checkup

as you can clearly see, my poor eyesight keeps me from spelling correctly too.
