say what you want about the man's business practices, at least he gives back. I saw a direct impact of materials he donated in Africa. I have respect for him.

his wife is loaded, BTW, not sure, but behind the Queen of England she might be the second richest on the globe by now. http://fdncenter.org/research/tr…

yeh I think his business attitude is ok, at least computers are cheap. no competition though.
but his dontations make a difference.

yeah, I'm not promoting his business practices, NO NO, but again at least he does something with 32 Billion dollars. Shit, he makes more than some country's GNPs in a year.

he gave 168 million to fight malaria in africa and anohter 51 million to nyc public schools within the past few weeks.
not too fucking shabby.

granted $167,999,999 was administrative costs and 1 bloody red cent went to actually help people, that's the fucking sad part of that African thing. Typical shite :(

I know what you mean, but he still donated it.
charities kinda suck like that.

yeah I support his endeavours in that regard. it's just the way the ball rolls. :)

i think he has a team of advisors/specialists in his foundation who look after the spending of the donation, i do not think Gates gives away the money like that. That would be foolish.

Im sure you are right 4cy, he is probably busier than most people on the planet.

from my experience working with non-profit and Non-governmental based organiztions both in Africa and domestically in USA, and in collaboration with European-based ones. They are 90% administrative. You can say you donated 167 Million or whatever it was and that's a great thing, however, you better believe that most of it never reaches the target audience. Its just the way it works. :(
