CRT beats LCD any day... But iMacs a lot nicer on your desk than the cheaper eMac... I had the same problem a while back. The iMac won it for me and I'm quite happy...

the 15" will be going on ebay soon.

The LCD screen is way better than the CRT. The CRT is using a composite three colour display to reprasent pixels, whereas the LCD is pixel sharp. If anyone is thinking of buying a desktop mac, fork out for a decent LCD over a CRT. Less headaches too, no flicker...

well thats not really true if your doing print work and need to have decent colour calibration, in that case I'd recommend a nice LaCie electron.

i do my work on bot a CRT and a LCD. I only use the LCD for toolbar display. also, its a PC based system, working on a mac limits me to the mac colors and the styling. you cant do css correctly, layers, basically anything web related. ill never go with mac, ive used them, and found my home pc faster, cheaper and more efficient, even against osx. if your going to buy a mac, fork out for a G5, oterwise get a pc, youll get the same results cheaper.

I love my trusty iMac Flat Panel. Only a couple of dead pixels but near perfect apart from that. I use a Formac ProNitron 80.20 at work and I can never get the display area to the right shape and size no matter what I do. I prefer LCD, no contest.
