any one done any projects with one? :| dont kno where to start

yess used to do it lots.
1. keep your hands clean
2. wash your hands afterward and don't lick your fingers during (Lead poisoning)
3. backwards & upside down or something like that
4. be patient
5. it is hells of slow
6. wood type is fun
7. dingbats are always good
8. where are you doing it at???

4 years ago i used letterpress on some wedding invitations i did. if you're in dallas i can recommend someone (that is, if they are still around). email me if i miss your post. been busy!
fireproof did some excellent letterpress work...wish they were still around.

seems to me that this stuff was very popular during old country music times. lots of places in tennessee that still do it.

wow fireproof press is no mo? i stopped listening to indie rock, so i never saw anymore beautiful june of 44 covers.
if you have to learn letterpress _AND_ do a project for someone at the same time, have patience, it is not the fastest process and there is a lot to learn!
it is hard to find a good letterpress studio...so good luck! if you are in the la area there are a few...
