Logos in URL bar?

Anyone know how to get a logo in the browser URL bar ?
i.e.
http://www.macromedia.com
http://www.ebay.comI guess it only works with the latest browsers.

it's called an icon as in .ico you need to basically call it favicon.ico and put it in your root directory for your site I believe.

go to Iconfactory.com and dowload the plugin for Photoshop.
the image must be 16x16 px.
works perfect on Safari, Opera, IE 5 for mac

I think Safari uses it whether you select the page as a favourite or not... becasue when i look at our weblong... and it reports a Safari hit, it follows with a hit for favicon.ico...

Hmmm, I fucking don't understand it actually. I know how to do it and know whatit does, but like sometimes I see it in the URL for a site that I've visited for the first time, yet I don't see it in my own. sucks!

Ok somebody help me.

well it doesnt show up right away...try bookmarking the page on the PC and it should show up in the menu...then if you want to see it in the url field, grab the generic IE icon and drag it a bit and let go...the new one should show up...i know, IE is retarded....
using safari it should show up no prob...you probably need to clear your browsers cache though....
